Christmas Memories

Christmas is coming! Yeah, I can hardly wait. Recently our dear son turned two. What a great Christmas season this will be this year! We are planning a trip to a train museum to ride on a train with Santa. We will have to see how he reacts to the man in the big red suit. He loves trains, so I hope that this will help. Who knows though our son is so laid back and not bothered by too much. He might just mosey right up to Santa and give him a high five. We will just have to wait and see.

Also, this year we are planning on having a live Christmas tree. I can hardly wait to smell the lovely scent of evergreen in our home. Hopefully this weekend we will be able to go to the local farmer's market and pick out a tree. If we do I hope to post a picture of our efforts here so that our family and friends can see what fun we had.

Last, but definitely not least I hope to celebrate our Savior's birth in a real and special way with my family this year. We are planning on having an Advent wreath and I hope to read some of the scripture that is involved with that as well. If anyone has any ideas and you are reading this I would love to hear from you.

In our house today we have to sick people. My dear son and dear hubby are both sick. My hubby has a sore throat and has been sick on his tummy as well. I hope that he feels better really soon. I took my dear son to the doctor just to be told that his throat is sore. That I figured but what is really bothering me is that he is so sleepy. He practically slept the morning away and he has been sleeping on and off since we left the doctor's office. I hope that he feels better by the morning. Also, I hope that I don't catch whatever they have as well. It would be very bad if we were all sick at the same time.

On another note I hope to write some post about our Christmas adventures. Look for those to show up soon. I am planning on celebrating Advent. I am looking for ideas and I will let others know what I find out.

Hope everyone is well. Have a blessed week!

Christmas is Coming !

Yeah, Christmas my favorite time of the year. I love the music, the mood and the food. Especially the food. This year should be really neat because my dear son will be old enough to really enjoy the season or really not enjoy the season. We shall see.

I am also planning on focusing more on the Advent season and not so much on Santa Claus. He does have his place but I want my family to really understand the true meaning of Christmas.

Thank you Christ child for coming so humbly to us so that we might have eternal life.

Merry Christmas to all!
